Israel’s Lonely Future?
As diplomatic isolation deepens, Israel’s most critical ally faces growing domestic doubts.
American public opinion on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict is shifting in ways Washington cannot ignore. For the first time, sympathy for Palestinians (37%) now edges ahead of Israel (36%), with over a quarter of voters undecided — an all-time low for Israel in U.S. polling. A majority (60%) oppose sending further military aid, half of Americans believe Israel is committing genocide, and President Trump’s handling of the crisis is widely viewed as poor. Democrats and independents are drifting sharply away, leaving Republicans as Israel’s only reliable domestic base.
